Obituary of Doreen Dormuth

Doreen, born July 27, 1931 in Melfort, SK, passed away peacefully at Regina Pioneer Village on Monday, March 21, 2011. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Helen York; sisters, Hilda, Phyllis and twin sister Dorothy; and brothers, Harry and Edward. Doreen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Edward; son Miles; daughter Jill; son-in-law Dean and grandchildren, Jelaina and Nicholas. She is also survived by her sisters, Viola, Yvonne, Marjorie and Darlene; and brothers, Lawton and Lorne. Doreen and Ed were happily married for 54 years. During their marriage, they were blessed with two children and two grandchildren. Doreen loved to take care of her family and spoil her grandchildren with gifts, baking and by making things for them. She loved doing a variety of crafts including quilting and needlework. Doreen loved Friday night cards with the family and going for walks, especially in Wascana Park. Some of her favorite times were weekends, spent at the cottage with the family. She loved to sit and watch the lake and talk with her husband and grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. We would like to thank the staff of 3E and 3W at Pioneer Village for their care of Doreen in the past year.
