Obituary of Irene Taylor

IRENE TAYLOR (nee KATONA) It is with heavy hearts we sadly announce the passing of our dear mother and grandma on Thursday, March 31, 2011, three days short of her 99th birthday. Irene was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Mary Katona; brother, Leslie; sister-in-law Margaret and nephew, Lloyd Katona. She was also predeceased by her son, Nicholas; daughter, Elizabeth Weichel, son-in-law, John and two grandsons, Wayne and John (JJ) Weichel. Irene is survived and will be deeply missed by her loving son, Joseph Taylor (Adele); fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Anita Cockburn (Bruce) of Guelph, Ontario as well as her beloved cat, Prutsey. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Regina Cemetery. Grandma will be fondly remembered as the sweetest, most loving lady we knew. We are all fortunate to have had her in our lives.
