Obituary of Alvin Albert Weslowski

ALVIN ALBERT WESLOWSKI January 31, 1933 April 2, 2013 Alvin, late of White City, SK, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in Regina at the age of 80 years. Predeceased by his parents Wilhelm and Klara; brother Bill; niece Doreen Brewster; and nephew Gregory Weslowski. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Edelgard (nee Jantz); sons Derrick (Amy) and Kevin (Shelley); grandchildren Merica, Maverick and Alexis; siblings Eleanor (Kurt) Wilms, Wesley (Frieda) and Delores Woodhead; sister-in-law Edith Weslowski; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Alvin was born near Glaslyn, SK. His family moved to the Davin, SK district in 1943. He married Edelgard Jantz on June 1, 1968. They farmed together, including the original Weslowski homestead, until 2010, when he retired. Alvin always had a knack for fixing or improving farm equipment and household items. In later years, his greatest joy was playing with his grandchildren. He had a great sense of humour and always had time to visit with relatives and friends. Alvin was a man of few words, but his kind actions spoke volumes. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him. Funeral Service will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina, SK on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Helmut Nachtigall officiating.
