Obituary of Shirley Brown

It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Brown announces her passing on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the age of 69. Shirley was born on June 6, 1941 to Harold and Blanche Brown. Shirley leaves to mourn her partner Gerald Heck; children Susan (Lorne) Roneki, Catherine (Tim) Mackin and Christopher (Erin) Blender; grandchildren Katelyn, Amy, Nicole, Ryley, Alexa and Connor; siblings William (Marion) Brown, Claire Thompson and Robert (Maureen) Brown. Also mourning are her many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Shirley was a lifelong resident of Regina. She was educated at Scott Collegiate and was an employee of both SaskTel and the City of Regina. Shirley knew how to enjoy the important things in life. She cherished time spent with her family, including many memorable days at Regina Beach. Her friends were an important part of her life with whom she shared many laughs. She was a thoughtful, generous and caring person whose smile was infectious. A Memorial Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Her family would like to thank Dr. Salgado for his exceptional care as well as the numerous health care professionals who were instrumental in caring for her this past year.
