Obituary of Frank Joseph Stoeber

FRANK JOSEPH STOEBER August 5, 1924 May 6, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of our father and grandfather at the age of 86. Predeceased by his wife Madeline in 2008; brother John and sister-in-law Lynn; sisters, Emilia and Marlene; and brother-in-law Frank Mastel. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Darwin (Wanda Mang), their sons, Julian and Joel; Roland (Carolyn), their daughters, Adriane and Krista; brother Jack (Lorainne) Stoeber; sisters, Anne Mastel, Madeline (Gordon) Huzina; and brothers-in-law, Bill Roberts and John Kopp. Frank was born on the farm north of Vibank and finished Grade 12 before joining the Army in March 1944. After the Army, he attended Normal School in Saskatoon and received a certificate in Teaching. Over the years, through summer school, he upgraded to a B.A. and B.Ed. in education. Frank began his teaching career in a country school, then Trossachs, Lang and Moosomin, before retiring to Pentiction where he worked for the B.C. Liquor Board for 10 years. Frank and Madeline returned to Saskatchewan in 1998 to be closer to family. Frank will be dearly missed. A Service to Celebrate Franks Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at a later date.
