Obituary of Joan Dulmage

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Elizabeth Joan Dulmage on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the age of 64 years. Mum passed away peacefully with her boys by her side, supported by family and friends. Joan was predeceased by her mother Evelyn Sarah Elizabeth Trimmer (nee Smallbone) and her father Colin Forney Trimmer. Her life will be forever celebrated by her loving sons, Jason (fiance Jody) and Jeff. Joan was born in Regina on June 24, 1946, attended Scott Collegiate and was an accomplished baton twirler, and a member of the Riderettes. She enjoyed her walks and being outdoors, water colour painting and took an interest in researching her family history. Joans greatest love was her family and she cherished every moment with her two boys. She gave a lot of her love and support to her parents in caring for them in their last years. We will always remember Mum for her endless compassion, her huge heart and for always wanting to help others. A very special thanks to Wynne Edwards (Lay Visitor United Church) and to the CCU nurses at the Regina General Hospital, especially Nurse Sharon and Nurse Brooke. Your support and compassion helped us during a very difficult time. You have touched our lives. Upon Mums request, a private graveside service will be held in the summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joans name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 279-3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8. We only have a memory, dear mother, We cherish our whole life through; But the sweetness will live forever as we treasure the memory of you.?
