Obituary of Barbara Elaine Atkinson

BARBARA ELAINE ATKINSON Barbara passed away suddenly on Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. She was predeceased by her husband Harold; son Jimmy Badley; sister Maxine Marcotte; cousin Gordon Rogers; and stepchildren Penny Schultz and Randy Atkinson. Barbara leaves to mourn her children: Patricia (Rick) and their children Dyan (Mason), Bryan (Olesya) and Raylee; Robert (Jeanette) and their children Aaron (Cherise), Carissa (Pete) and Deanna (Brady); Carol (Gary) and their children Sherri (Mark), Jeffery (Ali) and Trevor; Sharon (Larry) and their children Ryan and Jason (Whitney); Donna (Kevin) and their children Charolette (Taras), Justin (Jen); and Glenys (Bruce) and their children Jaci and Chelsea (Trent). Barbara was blessed with eleven great-grandchildren and was looking forward to three more this year. She is also survived by her special stepchildren-in-law Rick Schultz and Brenda Abild; step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Caroline Peck and Maurine Smith; cousins Shirley Laking and Eleanor Finlayson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara was raised by her grandparents and was educated in Rouleau. Later she worked for the Saskatchewan Department of Health. Family and friends were a large part of her life. She was proud that her family and their children grew to become productive and respected members of their communities. Funeral Service will be held at the Rouleau United Church, Rouleau, SK on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. A lunch will follow in the Drop In Centre. Private family interment will take place.
