Obituary of Olive Beatrice Grainger

OLIVE BEATRICE GRAINGER On Tuesday, May 19, 2009 Olive Beatrice Grainger, late of Regina, SK, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at age 94 years. Predeceased in 1995 by her husband of 58 years, Frank, Olive is survived by son, Bob of Red Deer, AB; daughter, Susan Young of Airdrie, AB; son Michael (Valerie) of Regina; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born in a row-housing neighbourhood of Greenwich, England, Olive served the British aristocracy below stairs? as a cook through the 1930s and 40s, developing the skills so much enjoyed over the years by family and friends when sitting down to one of her legendary seven-course gourmet dinners. Olive and her family immigrated to Canada in 1950 and made a happy and successful life in their adopted and much-loved new home. At Olives request, there will be no funeral service.
