Obituary of Bruno Driol
BRUNO DRIOL
On Tuesday, May 26, 2009 Bruno Driol, late of Regina, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the age of 78 years. He is survived by his three daughters, Lorelei (Pat) Bernakevitch, Nadine (Bob) Johnson and Nolene (Merv) Barth; seven grandchildren, Paul and David, Ryan, Tanessa and Kristen, Tyler and Brett; sister, Isolina of France; sister-in-law, Elda of Italy; his beloved nephew Mauricio and family of Italy; as well as many other nieces and nephews. Born in Cordovado, Italy on October 4, 1930, Dad came to Canada in 1954, establishing a new life for himself. He brought with him his trade of tile and terrazzo and worked at his trade until 1968 when he took employment with IPSCO, retiring on his 65th birthday, October 4, 1995. He then started his full time love of gardening. A true Italian gardener, Dad took pride in his abundant harvest, often feeling the need to check the gardens of his family and friends. One of his finest gifts was his production of quality wine. A simple recipe of grapes and the timing of a full moon. This produced the wine offered to all who entered his home. We are thankful for the sacrament of reconciliation and our belief in eternal life. Special thanks to all staff and volunteers at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for 8 years of care and compassion. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Family R. C. Church, 1021 McCarthy Blvd. N., Regina with Rev. Brad Fahlman presiding. In lieu of flowers donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 " 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK S7K 2H8.
