Obituary of Allen Stanley Ryhorchuk

ALLEN STANLEY RYHORCHUK Chuck was born on June 9, 1933. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 with his family by his side. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Stephenie Ryhorchuk. Chuck will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 wonderful years, Joan; siblings Gordon Ryhorchuk, Lillian (Frank) Brothwell, and Sylvia (Dave) Shoemaker; children Ralph (Donna), Don (Bonnie), Andrea and (Ken Novak), Nancy (Rod) Gross; grandchildren Cheryl (Aaron), Trina (Kevin), Sarah (Joey), Tyson (Danielle), Nikki and Clayton; great-grandchildren, Holden, Noah, Ella and Harmony. Chuck worked on the CNR, returned to Melfort and married his school sweetheart, Joan Peart in 1957. A 24 year career in the RCAF took the family across Canada, and an additional 18 years with SaskTel eased him into retirement in 1993. Once retired, Chuck loved traveling, gardening, going to the cottage, visiting with family and friends, and fishing. Chuck will be greatly missed by his family who will continue to recognize the value and strength of the family. Thanks Chuck (Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa) for all you have done to enrich our lives. You will never be forgotten, WE LOVE YOU! A celebration of Chucks life will be held on Saturday, May 30th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Melfort, SK. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917 Albert Street, Regina S4R 2P6.
