Obituary of Esther Margaret Martin

ESTHER MARGARET MARTIN (nee Schuster) May 11, 1920 October 30, 2012 Esther passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, October 30, 2012. She is survived by daughters, Jeanette (Les) Kish of Calgary, Marjorie Martin of Calgary, Kathy James (Glyn Jones) of Edgeley and Connie Martin (Jeffrey Rose) of Grenada; grandchildren Laraine (Gavin) and Colin Kish, Ryan, Aiden and Sharla Demchynski, Stacey (Darren) Clarke, Sheryl James (Brad Maxwell); great-grandchildren Madison, Aubrey, Kaitlin, Allison, Madeline, Wilder and Claire; brother Wallace Schuster; sisters-in-law Emma and Joan; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Esther was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Harold; parents Fred and Wanda; and brothers Michael and Donald. She spent most of her life in the Markinch and Southey Districts, except for the last four years when she moved to the nursing home. Esther enjoyed the many years of working hand in hand with her husband on the farm in the Southey District until 1980 when they retired into the town of Southey. It was their mutual love of music that brought them together as Esther was a very talented pianist, playing almost daily until about two weeks ago. She was also a very gifted award winning gardener. Funeral Service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Southey, SK on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Lowell Dennis officiating. Interment will take place in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
