Obituary of Father Louis Emil Kubash

REV. LOUIS EMIL KUBASH On Sunday, June 7, 2009, Rev. Louis Kubash, late of Regina, passed away at the age of 75 years. Predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Kubash; two nephews and one grandniece. Father Louis is survived by brothers, Joe (Phillis) and Edmond (Yolande); sister Mary Jane (Henry) Belland; six nephews; five nieces; thirteen great-nephews and nieces; and one great-great-nephew. Father Louis was ordained at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Outlook, SK on June 5, 1958. He served as a priest in the following parishes: Kendal, Canadian Martyrs, Regina, Weyburn, Pangman, Manor, Moosomin, St. Joseph the Worker, Regina, Holy Child, Regina, Fort QuAppelle, Balcarres, Lebret, File Hills, Muscowpetung, Pasqua, Standing Buffalo, Carlyle, Arcola, Manor, Holy Rosary Cathedral, Regina, Our Lady of Assumption Co-Cathedral, Gravelbourg, LaFleche, Meyronne, Balgonie, Pilot Butte, and Kronau. Vigil for the Deceased will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in Holy Rosary Cathedral, Garnet Street and 13th Avenue, Regina. FUNERAL MASS will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Cathedral. The principal celebrant will be Most Rev. Daniel Bohan with priests of the Archdiocese as con-celebrants. Interment will be held in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Broderick, SK on June 13th at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
