Obituary of Paul Debienne

PAUL DEBIENNE JANUARY 29, 1914 " JUNE 12, 2009 It is with extreme sorrow we announce the passing of Paul Debienne, beloved husband of Betty. He is also survived by his two sons, Norm (Jan) and Ray (Joanne); four grandchildren, Michelle, Dean, Greg and Chantelle; as well as seven great-grandchildren. Paul was born in Iowa and at the age of eight moved to Manitoba. At the age of fifteen he moved to Estevan and for the following nine years he worked at various jobs including coal mining in Saskatchewan, road construction in British Columbia and farming in Saskatchewan. At the age of 24 he met and married Betty, the love of his life. Their marriage flourished for more than seventy years. During his working career he entered the field of power engineering and through self-education he progressed from his 4th to his 1st class Power Engineering Certificate. He concluded his career as Director of Building and Property Management at the Regina General Hospital in 1977. In his retirement years he was able to pursue many hobbies including Corvair restoration, golf (scoring a hole in one), trailering, holidaying in Hawaii and many other parts of the U.S.A. Throughout his life he enjoyed music and spent many pleasant hours in his later life playing the organ and creating music on the computer. Husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, we love you and will miss you?. We ask everyone to celebrate Pauls life in his or her own way as there will be no service. Flowers most gratefully declined. Friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the charity of their choice. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
