Obituary of Edith Anne Carlson

EDITH ANNE AMELIA CARLSON (nee Rooney) Edith Anne Amelia Carlson (nee Rooney), born December 3, 1910 at Milestone, SK, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2009 at Solace Care Home, Regina. She was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1964; parents, George and Ida Rooney; sisters, Eva Lawrence and Ella Bird; and sons-in-law, Caron Patterson and Jack Wedge. She is survived by her son, Charlie (Dorothy) of Regina; daughters, Valerie Patterson of Saskatoon, Shirley (Spud) Stewart of Montague, PEI, and Betty Wedge of Medicine Hat, AB; sister, Lenna Allen of Regina; eleven grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Ediths life revolved around farm and family. She was never happier than when all the family was together. Eventually she had to leave the farm and reside in Carrington Court in Milestone, then to the Erimus (now Solace) Personal Care Home in Regina. Her family is grateful for the care she received in Milestone and Regina. Our Mother, Grandma, and Great-Grandma will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed. Funeral Service will be at Milestone United Church, Milestone, SK at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009.
