Obituary of Angela Goodman

ANGELA GOODMAN March 16, 1923 " June 30, 2009 It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Angela on June 30, 2009 at the age of 86 years. Born Angela Putzlocher in Machliniec, Poland, her family immigrated to Canada in 1930 and settled in Odessa, Saskatchewan. Angela enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and served her country in London, England and Paris, France prior to being honourably discharged from service with the rank of Corporal in 1946. Post war, she settled in Regina to raise her family. Angelas family and loved ones were the most treasured aspect of her life. She is survived by her loving children, Sharon Goodman (Mike Zora); Murray Butch? Goodman and his wife Delores, sons Travis and Keelan, daughter Tamara (Dan) Rosnau and their sons Grayson and Cohen; Brian Goodman and Dianne Goodman. She is also survived by her brother Joseph (Marianne) Putzlocher and sister Catherine (Bob) Gordon, both of Regina. For the last 20 years, Angela was devoted to her caring, loyal and loving companion Al Seal, who gave her so much joy. An intensely private person, those who knew Angela well appreciated her sweet nature, keen wit and sharp repartee. And all in her circle were often treated to her amazing home cooking and the best apple pie ever. In the summers, she could be found in her expansive and riotously coloured flower garden. A remarkable woman who led a quiet, remarkable life, the gift of her love will continue to be passed on through her children. She was truly our Angel. A special thanks to all the caregivers at Pioneer Village and the Pasqua Hospital. Funeral service to be held Monday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, with Pastor Rob Hartman presiding. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, friends so wishing may make donations through a Tribute Gift to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation at www.hrf.sk.ca or P.O. Box 1697, #225-1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3.
