WILLIAM MARTIN (MARNIE) KIDD Marnie was born April 11, 1924 in Lumsden, SK, and passed away July 6, 2009 at the age of 85 years. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy in 1990; parents, Arthur and Mary Kidd; brother Ken and sister-in-law, Betty, brother-in-law Percy Evans, brother-in-law, Bill Shaw, sister-in-law Anne Shaw, brother-in-law Don Daly. Survived by son, Barrie Kidd (Heather); daughter Barbara Rankin (Rick); grandchildren, Jason Rankin (Jennifer), Janna Bell (Devin), Taylor Kidd and Brendan Burrell; great-grandchildren, Anna, Haylee and Brody; sister, Maureen Evans; sisters-in-law, Florence Daly and Irene Shaw; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Marnie lived for the past eleven years at the Lumsden Heritage Home. The staff and the loving care he received truly made it his home. He farmed in the Lumsden area all his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was an avid Roughrider fan and held season tickets for over fifty years. His loving and caring personality was second to none. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He truly had a heart of gold and will be always loved and forever missed. A private family service will be held.
