Obituary of Jacob Anton Winter

JACOB ANTON WINTER Jake passed away at the Pasqua Hospital on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his parents Emil and Elizabeth (nee Messer) Winter; brothers Joe, Carl, Emil, and Harold; sisters Pauline, Anne, and Eva. Jake is survived by his loving wife Lorraine; two sons Michael (Carrie) and Don (Donnette); two daughters Deb (Rob) and Lynn (Jim), seven grandsons, three great grandchildren; brothers John, Vic, Raymond and sister Betty. Jake was born at Torquay SK in 1924. He started his painting career in Weyburn, and moved his family to Regina in 1956 where he established Cityview Painting and Decorating, retiring in 1982. Dad had a wonderful sense of humour. He was a long-time member of the Regina Senior Centre and loved dancing. His favorite coffee spot was the Northgate Mall. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2009 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave., Regina. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jake, to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina SK. S4P 2R3.
