Obituary of Kathleen Bernice Johnson

JOHNSON, KATHLEEN BERNICE Kathleen (nee Munday), born on September 18, 1926, passed suddenly on July 26, 2009. Formerly of Francis, SK and late of Regina, SK. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1996, Kathleen leaves to mourn her children: Deborah (Randy) Snaith and family of Ottawa, ON; Marilyn (Jim) Karst and family of White City, SK; Doug Johnson and family of Francis, SK; Brad (Deb) Johnson and family of Calgary, AB; fourteen grandchildren; her beloved sister Elizabeth McCandless and family of Regina, SK; as well as several nieces and nephews, numerous friends and relatives. Kathleen lived on 4600 block Dewdney Avenue until she met Robert Johnson on a blind date at a Regina Pats Hockey game. They married in 1950, and moved to a farm outside Francis, SK where she lived until she and Robert retired and moved back to Regina in the 1990s. Kathleens hobbies included knitting, crocheting, still life photography and landscape painting. She loved to dance and was involved in many choir and cantata productions. She also had an incredible green thumb; her house was always filled with plants and flowers. Kathleen was a past volunteer with the Pasqua Hospital Auxiliary. Cremation. Memorial Service will be held Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Christ Lutheran Church, Francis, SK with Pastor Lindsay Hognestad officiating. Private interment.
