Obituary of Dorothy Curran

CURRAN (nee Thorneycroft) " Dorothy (Dot), former resident of Kelowna, passed away quietly in Regina, SK on August 1, 2009, in her 86th year after a short illness. Predeceased by her husband Harry, and daughter Kathy Boonstra-Curran, Dorothy is survived by her loving daughters Bev (Ottawa) and Daphne (Victoria) and son-in-law Marten Boonstra (Edmonton). She will be fondly remembered by her niece Colleen Bryant and numerous other family members, and by her many friends. Dorothy was a competitive lawn bowler who was very active in the Kelowna Lawn Bowling Club and the B.C. Lawn Bowling Association. She travelled extensively to compete, including to California and Australia. She will be remembered for her great sense of humour and quick wit.
