Jim was born on August 10, 1923 in Moose Jaw, SK. After serving in the Navy during World War II, he moved to Regina where he met Dorothy and was married on June 30, 1951. Jim and Dot had four sons. As they grew he got great pleasure being involved in their various sporting activities and could always be seen at the rink, diamond or field with pipe in hand. He loved to work with his hands and was respected around the city for his quality craftsmanship in the cabinet business until his retirement in 1992. In retirement Jim enjoyed working in his garden, playing cards with friends and was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. Jims wit and sense of humour will be missed by all who knew him. Many thanks go out to the staff of the Veterans Wing of the Wascana Hospital and the Palliative Care Unit of the Pasqua Hospital. Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Ave. Regina, SK with Rev. Dr. Robert A. Kitchen officiating.
