Obituary of Ba Tuong Long

BA TUONG LONG 1924-2009 It is with great sadness that the family of Ba Long announces his peaceful passing in his sleep on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 in Regina, SK at the age of 85 years. Born October 10, 1924 in Dong Hing, China; Ba immigrated to Vietnam then came to Regina in 1986. He loved to fix vehicles, appliances and enjoyed having coffee with his friends. He was an honest, gentle and generous man of simple taste. He is predeceased by his parents, Tchang and Yia; brothers, Long Tuong Quang, Long Tuong Vy; and his son, Long Truc Dang. Ba is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phuong Lieu and his ten children and fourteen grandchildren: Thai Hoa (wife Nga, daughters Michelle, Tracey) of Regina, Ha of Ottawa, Xuong (wife Nhu, son Andy) of Ottawa, Minh (wife Hanh, son Justin) of Regina, Loc (wife Lana, son David, daughter Trisha), Lan (husband Kinh Pham, son Matthew, daughter Katherine) of Ottawa, Hung (Steven) (wife Cindy, daughter Christiana) of Calgary, Phuc (Peter) (wife Lisa, daughters Larissa, Kailea, son Braeden) of Medicine Hat, Chi (wife Lisa, son Carson) of San Jose, U.S.A. Khuong (wife Vien, daughter Kelly) of Regina. Ba is also survived by his younger brothers, Long Tuong Phi and Long Tuong Dich of Dong Hing, China. Funeral Service will be held in the Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Following the Funeral Service, Cremation Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Community Crematorium, Regina Cemetery, 4th Avenue, Regina, SK. We would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Prasad, Dr. Abdulhadi, Dr. Imy Ooi, and all the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Regina General Hospital " Dialysis Unit, 3E who had been so compassionate in providing Bas care.
