Obituary of Denise Yvette Wark

After a courageous 10 month battle with cancer, Denise peacefully passed away in the early hours on Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Regina Pasqua Hospital. A beautiful, wise and avid storyteller, she will be deeply missed by her beloved husband and soul-mate, Tom (Bud); sons, Thomas John (TJ) and Tyson; daughter, True; mother, Shirley Holman; sister, Tanya Holman; grandpa, Allan Morcom; mother and father-in-law, Mary and Tom Wark; and numerous special family and friends. Denise was predeceased by her adored dad, Don Holman; much-loved grandparents, Ted and Jean Holman, and Solveig Morcom. Denise was 44 and her life was passionately devoted to her family and to giving of herself generously. Her loving spirit profoundly touched the lives of many with her unique talent to connect with others. Even in her passing, our cheerleaders presence is felt - Rock on?! Denise was born in Regina, SK on February 10, 1965 to Don and Shirley Holman. She grew up in Regina and graduated with a Certificate in Social Work and devoted herself in several facets of the profession. A tribute in memory of Denise will take place on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Eastside United Church, 3018 Doan Drive, Regina, SK. A burial will follow at Strasbourg Cemetery, Strasbourg, SK and lunch in Duval.
