Obituary of Jacob Wendel Hassel

Hassel, Jacob October 14, 1919 " September 17, 2009 It is with loving memories of the gentle life that the family announces the peaceful passing of Jacob Hassel at Sunset Extendicare. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 62 years, Cora; their children, Elaine (Duane) Glass and their children, Brad (Lyla) and Cora-Lee (Darcy); Marjorie (Brian) Waters and their children, Kenny (Carla) and Keith (Natasha); Brenda (Lanny) Bell and their children, Lorelei (Brent), Stacey (Trevor) and Devin (Janna); and 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law, Dorothy Hassel; and numerous relatives and friends. Predeceased by an infant daughter; his parents; 6 sisters; and 2 brothers. The family extends their special thanks to the staff at Sunset Extendicare for their care for the past 9 months. Funeral Service will be held in the Christ Lutheran Church in Earl Grey, SK at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. Private Interment in Earl Grey Cemetery.
