Obituary of Mary Sagin

Mary Sagin, (nee Walters) beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin and friend passed away peacefully on September 22nd, 2009 after a long and happy life. Mary was the fourth child of Nick and Elizabeth Walters born on November 21, 1919 on the family homestead at Truax, Saskatchewan. She attended Queen Elizabeth School as a child, leaving after Grade 8 to work on the family farm. She married Dan Sagin in January 1940. She was a Charter Member of the Dew Drop Inn, longstanding volunteer for the Heritage Home and organized Meals on Wheels. Her second passion was gardening; her corner lot in Lumsden showcased this beautifully to the community.
