Obituary of Hilda Shields

HILDA SHIELDS April 8, 1921 May 4, 2013 Hilda died peacefully in her sleep at Regina General Hospital following a short illness. Hilda was born on a farm at Pheasant Forks SK, to Albert and Helen Slater. She was raised in Lanigan and moved to Regina to work. Through her cousin Alice Cresswell, she met William Paterson Shields. They were married in 1947 and had two daughters, Barbara (Earl) Hjelte and Carol (Don) Stamp. She loved her grandchildren, Penny, Janie, Marcee (Jason Graves), Tyler Stamp, and her great grandchild Charlie. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends at Lake Village, Nokomis, Florida, and College Park Retirement Residence. Special thanks to her friend Bev Novenski and nieces, Marion Hingston and Audrey (Trevor) Cook.
