Obituary of Lorraine Madill

Lori Madill, late of Regina, SK, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Born in Marney, MB in February of 1928, she grew up on the family farm. After graduating from high school, Lori moved to Winnipeg where she took her teacher training. She taught for two years at Glenn Lea School, MB. She was part of a secretarial pool for the RCMP headquarters in Ottawa, as well as for Immigration Canada in Toronto and Calgary. Curling was her passion in younger years which she shared with her father, Stewart. Her other passion was her husband, Ted. An avid gardener and cook, she loved to spend time with her neighbors and their beautiful children. Lori is survived by her niece, Kimberley (Rob) Fitzpatrick nee Williamson, and Kims two children; brother-in-law, Claire Williamson; cousin, Sandi McTavish; brother-in-law, John Madill; and Teds numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her loving husband, Edward (Ted) Madill; parents, Stewart and Euphemia McTavish; and sister, Leona Williamson. The family would like to thank the nursing staff in Unit 5A at the RGH, and all the neighbors and friends who supported Lori. Funeral Service will be held at Sunset United Church, 177 Sunset Drive, Regina, SK on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. Interment at the RCMP Cemetery.
