Obituary of Mary Evelyn McClelland

Evelyn passed away October 23, 2009 at the Pasqua Hospital after a short illness at the age of 101. She was born July 23, 1908 at Milestone, Saskatchewan. She leaves to mourn her loss, one daughter Eileen (Fred) Dempsey, two sons, Dale (Joan) and Ray (Judy) and daughter in law, Elsie, 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is survived by 1 sister, Nora, and 1 brother Jack (Almeda). Evelyn was predeceased by her husband W. Earl McClelland, her son, Don, two grandsons, Daryl and Parker, six brothers and three sisters. Evelyn embraced life and cherished the special times she spent with family and friends. She loved to travel, especially to Vernon, BC to visit her daughter and family. Playing cards and doing crossword puzzles were her favorite past times. She did needle work until her eyesight failed. A Graveside Service will take place Friday, October 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Ave. Please meet inside the gate. Memorial Service to follow at Renaissance Retirement Home, 1801 McIntyre Street.
