Obituary of Robert Emil Diekrager

Diekrager, Robert E. " late of Riceton, SK passed away peacefully on October 27, 2009 at the age of 82 years. Robert is survived by his wife, Theresa; children, Lynn (Al OByrne), Terry (Dave Creurer), Sherry Diekrager, Annette (Robert Burbridge), Patricia (Jack Stephenson), Eugene (Shannon) Diekrager, Mary-Jo (Ken Steve), Donna Lee (Randy Frei); sisters, Ruth Ann (Lawrence) Harty, and Kay Reich; brother, Henry Diekrager; brother-in-law, Bob Wilson; as well as 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Emil and Henriette (Hengel) Diekrager; sisters, Doreen Wilson and Laura Schultz; brother, Danny Diekrager; brothers-in-law, Walter Reich and Morley Schultz. The family would like to express their thanks to Kathy and Mike at Bertas Care Home as well as the nurses and staff at Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home for their compassion and kindness. The Original Bad Bob loved and lived life to the fullest. He was a man of few words who loved family, farming, sports and cards. He will be missed by many friends, family and taverns in Southern Saskatchewan. Prayers are to be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009. A celebration of Bobs life will begin with a Prayer Service on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina, SK with Rev. John Weckend presiding. Interment will be held at Regina Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made, in memoriam, to a charity of your choice.
