Obituary of Marjorie Anne Jermyn

Jermyn, Marjorie Anne, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the age of 79 years. Marj was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Leroy Jermyn; her parents, Peder and Anne Pedersen; and her sister, Sarah Arlouine Lunde. She will be sadly missed by her children, Debra (Jac) Quinlan, Christine (Larry) Haffie and Brad (Debbie) Jermyn; grandchildren, Brendan and Jake Quinlan, Sarah (Joel) and Anne Haffie, Thomas Jermyn and Victoria Oster; her brother, Jim (Judi); her cousin and best friend, Bonnie Schaffer. Marj will also be remembered by her cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of loving friends. Marj had a zest for life, and she lived it to the fullest. She loved to travel and did, extensively, with family and friends. She raised her children and returned to work; first with Canadian Western Agribition, and finally as Deputy Provincial Secretary, Government of Saskatchewan. The highlight of her career was spent as Director of Guest Services at the Saskatchewan Pavilion, EXPO 86. Marj supported and volunteered for Government House Historical Society, the Mackenzie Art Gallery, Globe Theatre, Regina Symphony Orchestra and Saskatchewan Express. She also served on the Board of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation. Marj was always happiest in her home, at her table surrounded by family and friends. A celebration of Marjs life will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK. Donations to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 225 " 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK, S4P 4B3, in Marjs memory, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
