Obituary of Sharon Elaine Potter-Kemmer

Potter-Kemmer - Sharon Elaine passed away on November 1, 2009 in Regina. Sharon was raised on a farm near Richard, SK. Her family moved to North Battleford when she was still a child. Sharon excelled at scholastic endeavors and was the first in her family to attend university. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1969 and immediately moved to Regina to work for Sasktel. She was proud of the management position which she earned within the company. In her early years Sharon was a devoted member of her church and volunteered as a Big Sister. Unfortunately by the 1980s poor health robbed her of her career and many of her cherished activities. She has resided at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre for the last four years. Her indomitable spirit, courage in the face of adversity and unswerving faith have been an inspiration to many. She is mourned and deeply missed. Sharon is predeceased by her father, Clarence Potter. She is survived by her mother, Pearl Potter; sisters, Gloria (Jim) Moore, Catherine (Wayne) Dziad; nieces, Karren (Mario) Ferreira, Shelley (Greg) Moore; nephew, Brent Moore. A Memorial Service will be held for Sharon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Wascana Rehabilitation Centre Chapel, 2nd Floor, 2180 " 23rd Avenue, Regina with Rev. Robin Osborne officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date in North Battleford Memorial Gardens.
