Obituary of John Alfred Leib

It is with heavy hearts the family of John Leib announces his passing on Monday, November 2, 2009 at the age of 79 years. John is predeceased by his parents, Peter and Pauline; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; grandchildren, Victoria and Shane Sievert; and daughter-in-law, Kathy. Mourning his passing is his loving wife of 58 years, Jean; children, Larry (Bea), Wendy (Doug) Mohr, Terry (Don) Caslake, Marlin (Brenda), Sylvia (Steve) Loverick, Lee (Glenda), Darcy (Melanie); 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Norman (Gertie), Bob, Ron (Jo); and sister-in-law, Ethel (Bud) Starkey. John and Jean farmed in the Craven district for 50 years; moving to Regina 18 years ago where he continued to farm until his health failed. The last 11 months John had endured many health struggles and is now at peace. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina with Rev. Ken Powers officiating. Interment will be at the Longlaketon Cemetery.
