Obituary of Frederich William Siegel

Fred passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the age of 82. He is predeceased by his parents, William and Betty (Kleefeld) Siegel; parents in-law, John and Katherine Klein; daughter Darlene; sister Doreen (Smale); and two granddaughters, Heather and Barbara. Fred is survived by his loving wife Helen; daughter, Donna (Jeff) King; and grandchildren, Michael and Ann King. Fred was born in Regina on March 28, 1927. He moved to Indian Head and farmed with his Mom and Dad, and then moved back to Regina and farmed from the city. Fred and Helen were married in 1951 and moved to Parry, SK in 1952 to farm. In 1964 they moved to Sedley and farmed there. They moved again in 1972 back to Regina where Fred worked at the Tartan Curling Club for six winters and then retired. Fred loved his family and had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards and his many coffee buddies. A funeral service for Fred will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 1:00 pm at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
