Obituary of Eileen Murle Allen

Allen, Eileen (nee Durston) On December 6, 2009, @ 9:10 p.m., our world lost an amazing lady. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend. Eileen's pride and joy for family and friends was evident to all who knew her. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting and was an avid reader. She was often lovingly described as strong, independent, creative and feisty with a true zest for life. She was employed by the Regina Public School Division's Art Dept. and was an active member of the Regina Beach Lioness Club for 25 years. Eileen was predeceased by Bill, her husband of 52 years, as well as her parents Anthony and Jesse and brother Jack. Left to mourn is her daughter Pat (Phil) Edler and family Stacy (Cameron) and Mason Woodson, Roy (Jessica) Ava and Benton Edler, Katie (Mike) Groen, and Doug (Courtney) Edler, her daughter Debi (Rick) Martin and family Joe (Kymberli) Jake and Alexis Martin, Tricia (Scott) Dawson, Emily and Shawn Ducharmie, her son Glen (Lesley) Allen and family Danielle (Andrew) Jace and Jordan Kuffner. Also left to mourn is her brother Ron (Frieda) Durston as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her adoring and faithful companion Peanut. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on her 77th birthday, Sunday December 13, 2009 at the Memorial Hall, 101 Centre Street, Regina Beach, Sask. Flowers most graciously declined.
