Obituary of Robert Thomas Holmes

AUGUST 11, 1953 " DECEMBER 16, 2009 Bob passed away peacefully at home at age 56. He was born and raised in Regina, attended Davin School and Central Collegiate. He graduated from the University of Regina with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Bob was the youngest of three children born to the late Isabelle and Heric Holmes. He was predeceased by his loving life partner and soul mate Elaine Carol Erina. Bob will be forever remembered by his devoted son John Robert Erina Holmes. He is also survived by his brother Bill (Anita) of Calgary, and sister Beverley (John Harvie) of Winnipeg, as well as numerous cousins and nieces and nephews, and extended families of Maggie and Mick West (Regina), Lorraine Mann (Kingsville, ON) and close family friend Jane Anweiler (Regina). Knowing Bob during his lifetime one could always count on a lively discussion on the topics of politics and community affairs. He participated in the Cathedral Area Community Association and its Annual Arts Festival for many years. Computers were a source of fascination for Bob, he spent many hours in front of a terminal developing his skills. Everything he endeavored on, he did in great detail and with conviction. Family and friends are invited to Bobs Memorial Service at his familys home church, Central Lutheran, 2625 12th Avenue, Regina (12th and Angus) on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Jeff Tank officiating. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made, in memoriam to the Central Lutheran Church, 2625 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1J1; the Regina & District Food Bank, 425-445 Winnipeg Street, Regina, SK S4R 8P2 or to a charity of choice.
