Obituary of Maisie Bakken

1920 - 2009 On Thursday, December 17, 2009 Maisie passed away at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by her husband, Karl; sisters, Joan Walker and Molly Hebdon, Maisie is survived by her sons, Graham (Shirley), Stuart; grandson, Brent; granddaughter Tricia; great-grandchildren, Odin, Heidi and Erika Brown; sister, Betty Sugden of England. Born August 16, 1920 in Easingwold Yorkshire, England, Maisie was the eldest of four girls born to James and Nora Cowling. At the age of 26 she came to Canada as a war bride with her new husband, Karl. She resided in Regina for the remainder of her life, raising and caring for her family. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
