Obituary of Robert Brock

ROBERT BOB? BROCK Bobs family is saddened to announce the sudden and peaceful passing of their much-loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on Monday, November 26, 2012 at home in Regina. He will be deeply missed by his wife Phyllis; his sons Daryl (Susan), Duane (Darla Stubel) and Gord (Deborah). Also missing their fun times with Grandpa will be Daryl and Susans daughters Lindsey (Sean Bowns), of Calgary, and Caitlin; as well as Duanes children Adam and Sara (Kyle Carson) and children Kaden, Grace and Emma. Also mourning his loss is his sister Vera (Sam Murray), of Weyburn, with whom he shared a special bond; and their half-brothers Morley (Margret) Mazurak, of Parksville, BC, Alvin (Bea) Mazurak, of Kelowna, BC; and half-sisters May Meier, of Prince George, BC, and Audrey (George Webster), of Hope, BC. Bob was born in Ogema, Saskatchewan on August 7, 1928 and grew up mainly in town. He loved playing all sports, visiting relatives on nearby farms, and working in local shops. He later moved to Weyburn and Regina. He married Phyllis in 1951 and they lived in Swift Current briefly before moving back to Regina. Bob made friends easily and had many in his working and family lives. For leisure he loved watching children and grandchildren play sports, camping, and family outings to visit his and Phyls friends and relatives. He also loved his time on the golf course or curling ice, or in a field and operating the combine. A Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Darold Sauer officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 279 3rd Avenue North, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8.
