Obituary of Frances Klein

Frances passed away suddenly on December 21, 2009 at the age of 82. She is predeceased by her husband John in 1991; brother Arthur (Helen); sisters, Erna (Wayne) and Irene. Frances is survived by sons Robert and Richard; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was born and raised in Regina, and as a child she sold flowers at the Regina General Hospital, and helped her brother deliver newspapers. Frances attended Thompson School and Balfour Collegiate, after which she worked for the Department of Education, Teacher Services. She was a very active volunteer for the church and the Genealogical Society; she was very interested in family history and spent many hours tracing her own family history. Frances was a member of the Ladies Aid at Trinity Lutheran Church, Regina Plains Museum, and the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society. A viewing for Frances will be held on Monday January 4, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday January 5, 2010 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina with Rev. Lindsay Hognestad officiating. The family would like to thank the staff at ICU at the General Hospital. Flowers gratefully declined.
