Obituary of Grace Thompson
Mrs. Anna Grace Thompson of Regina passed away on December 24, 2009, at the age of 92 years. Grace was born in Prince Edward Island on August 4, 1917 to parents Flossie and Wes Mellett. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, baby Pearl and Louise; and four brothers Spencer, Lem, Roy, Harris and her loving husband of 58 years, George Henry Thompson. Her memories will be cherished by her son, Ronald Earl Thompson, nephew Russell (Rebecca) Mellett of Vancouver B.C., niece Cathy Mellett of Halifax, N.S., sisters-in-law Lee Mellett and Jean Mellett; and Donna Allen of Regina SK. Grace enjoyed family get-togethers, and in the early years the enjoyment she got in bowling with her friends and hearing the clapping of her teammates when she got those big strikes in 5 pin bowling. A private family service will be held at the Riverside Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Henry Friesen officiating. Mom was a long-time member of Westhill Park Baptist Church and enjoyed helping with all the church activities. The family would like to thank Dr. Suri, the staff from 3D and 4B at the Pasqua Hospital, Home Care, and the staff at Pioneer Village Day Program for their excellent care of Grace.
