Obituary of Constantine Trofin

In memory of Conn Trofin, who passed away peacefully December 27th, 2009, at the age of 86 years with his family by his side after his fight with cancer. Conn is survived by his loving wife, Kay; sons Gary, Ross (Michelle); and granddaughters Melissa and Alicia, who loved their papa very much. He is also survived by his brothers Al (Lil), Sam, and Leonard; sisters Anne (Ernie), Virginia, Marie, Sally, Vivian (Lloyd), Violet (Bill), and Frances; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Conn was predeceased by his mother Katrina and father Alex; brothers Nick, Mack, Billy; and sister Gustie. Conn was born and raised in Kayville, SK where he later took over the family farm and did what he loved to do " work the land. Conn served in the Army in World War II. He was also an accomplished musician, starting and playing in many bands throughout the years. Conn and his wife Kay raised their family in Regina, where he worked hard all his life as a Warehouse Foreman. Conn was, first and foremost, a very loving husband, father and grandpa. Thanks to Dr. Zarkovic, Dr. McLeod, Dr. McMillan and all of the wonderful nurses at the Pasqua Hospital Units 3B, 3D, and especially the Palliative Care Unit and Homecare staff, who we call our angels? for taking such compassionate care of Conn. Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, with Pastor Dave Wells officiating. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park.
