DONALD FREDERICK VOYSEY
1917-2009
Our family wishes to announce the passing of our dear father and grandfather on Thursday, December 31, 2009. Don was predeceased by his wife Doris (Bromby); daughter Donna Mosure; brothers Omer (Betty), Cecil and Andre (Alice); and sister Lorraine (Sam) Schmunk. He is survived by his brothers Sidney (Peggy), and George (Jean) of British Columbia; sister Marie (Jim) Turriff of Regina; and his loving daughters Maryann Santha, Jacqueline (Doug) Wanner, and Carol (Colin) Bachynski; as well as his grandchildren Carol (Jerry) Benkic, Scott (Holly) Santha, Royal Santha, Christal (Louis) Montreuil, Jason (Tracy) Santha, Geordie (Joan) Mosure, Dean (Michelle) Mosure, Todd (Tina) Mosure, Angel (Bruce) Paton, Sherri Bay, Sheldon Bay, Donald (Tanya) Bay, Tamara Wanner, Kristina (Derek) Frei, Darby-Jane, Nicolas, Quinlan, Spencer, and Avery Bachynski, as well as twenty-nine great-grandchildren. Don was born on the farm near South Allan, Saskatchewan. He was raised on the farm, and married the love of his life, Doris (Bromby) in 1937. They farmed in the White Fox area for numerous years. He served in World War II as a Trooper with the 4th Armour Division. Don served his country with both pride and honor. Upon his return from the war, he moved his family to Regina and began a long service career as a Chief Estimator with Cairns Homes Ltd. Don was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who shared his love for fishing, golf, gardening, and nature. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, with Rev. Derek Nicholls officiating. At the familys request, medals may be worn. Interment to follow in the Field of Honour at Riverside Memorial Park. An online book of condolences may be signed at www.speersfuneralchapel.com.
