Obituary of Howard John Burdon

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Howie? Burdon on January 4, 2009. He was predeceased by his father, James Burdon; father-in-law Ivan Harvey; and sister-in-law Valerie Metheral. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty years, Shelley Burdon of Regina; daughters Christy Jones (AJ) of Castle Rock, Colorado; Lindsay Etter (Jarret) of Thornton, Colorado; and his new beautiful granddaughter Kenzie Reese Jones, whom he loved and cherished in the short time he was able to know her. Howie will be sorely missed by his mother Dorothy Burdon of Regina; his brothers, Glen Burdon and his son Derek of Regina; Ken (Sheila) Burdon and their children Michael, Victoria and Andrea of Lone Tree, Colorado, Todd of Calgary, Alberta, and Ron (Doris) Burdon and their children Nichole and Melissa of Regina. His extended family of in-laws including Mabel Harvey of Regina, John (Sharon) Harvey of Bulyea, Saskatchewan; Penny (Earl) Willcox of Strasbourg, Saskatchewan; Cec (Michaeleen) Harvey, of Craven, Saskatchewan; and Roger Metheral of Regina, as well as all of their children and grandchildren will treasure memories of him forever. Also left to mourn Howie are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Howies sense of humour and fun-loving spirit was enjoyed and appreciated by all who knew him. He was an extremely proud father and grandfather, who loved his family first and foremost. Howies life was very full, through his years involved in many sports, community work, and operating his construction company, he touched many lives and made countless friends, all of whom he valued so much. Memorial Service at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1909 Ottawa Street, Regina on Saturday, January 9 at 2:00 p.m. Private Graveside Service will be held for family only.
