Obituary of Karen Ann Hinks

On Wednesday, January 6, 2010, Karen Ann Hinks formerly of Stephenville, NL, beloved wife and mother of Gary and Jeremy Hinks, Regina, SK, peacefully passed into the arms of God after a four year long battle with breast cancer. Karen worked 28 years for various departments within the Government of Saskatchewan before retiring in 2008 to focus on her fight. Karen's positive attitude carried her friends and family with her throughout her journey, but in the end, God called his angel back. Predeceased by her father James Caul; brother Ronald Caul; sisters, Lorraine Barry and Dawn Caul, Karen is survived by her husband Gary; son Jeremy; mother Lillian Caul (nee Cluney); brothers, Donny Caul (Odelia) and Robert Caul; sisters, Gloria Hynes, Lisa Hann (Garland) and Tina Smith (Kelly); sister-in-law Heather Caul; brother-in-law James Barry. She, also, leaves many loved extended family members, in-laws, and friends. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Unit 3B, Pasqua Hospital. Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 6:00 " 8:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK. Funeral Service will be held Monday, January 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Speers Funeral Chapel. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family and friends so wishing may make donations, in memoriam, to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 10665 Jasper Avenue, Suite 700, Edmonton, AB T5J 3S9.
