Obituary of Anastazia (Nellie) Lipinski

Anastazia was born April 23, 1923 in Koziejewka, Lublin, Poland. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 11:30 p.m. in the Regina General Hospital. Anastazia was adored by her friends, work colleges and family, and has left us with not only fond loving memories of her but her beautiful home and garden in Regina where she resided for 60 years, after arriving in Canada from the UK. A German War Camp survivor, Anastazia endured many hardships which never dampened her formidable spirit or ever caused her blue eyes from twinkling or lovely lips from smiling. Anastazia is survived by her great-grandsons Austin and Cohen; granddaughter Stacey (Tracy); daughter Barbara (Maurice); sons Edward and Jim and honorary daughter, neighbour and best friend Margaret. We will all miss her and feel honored to have known her. Great-Grandma and Mom, you will be missed. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in Little Flower R.C. Church with Rev. Barry Anwender presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Arthritis Society, 110-2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK S4P 3X1.
