Obituary of Stewart Caniff Clute

October 22, 1931 " January 12, 2010 On Tuesday, January 12, 2010, Stewart, beloved husband of Alice Clute, Regina, SK, passed away following a week-long struggle with pneumonia. Stewart was predeceased by his father and mother, Hiram and Mildred Clute; father and mother-in-law Alfred and Minnie Thompson; stepmother-in-law Doris Willis; sisters Berva Clute, Myrtle Clute and Norma Stefaniuk; sisters-in-law Sheryl Fattiecher and Norma Silverthorn; brothers-in-law Stan Smerechinksi, Norm Fattiecher, Bud Hooper and Peter Stefaniuk. Stewart is survived by Alice, his loving wife of 58 years, and their children: Debra Clute, Regina; Trevor (Lia) Clute, Aurora, ON; Scott (Amelia) Clute, Richmond, BC; Blair (Annette) Clute, Regina; grandchildren: Kirstyn (Doug) Trevena, Regina; Karmen Smith, Regina; Christopher and Andrea Clute of Richmond, BC; and Ashley Clute, Regina; and great-granddaughter Grace Trevena of Regina. He is also survived by two brothers: Darol (Sylvia) Clute, Calgary, AB; Dale (Georgia) Clute, Grande Prairie, AB; sisters-in-law: Bev Smerechinski, Moose Jaw, SK; Anita (Harry) Toews, Regina; brother-in-law Ron (Lori) Thompson, Delta, BC, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all involved in Stewarts care during the past fifteen months. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Regina General Hospital. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Hillsdale Street, Regina. A private family interment will take place in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
