Obituary of Ernest 'Julius' Blach

January 15, 1942 " January 15, 2010 It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we the family announce the passing of a wonderful man, brother, husband and father Julius Blach. Born January 15th, 1942 in Edmonton, Alberta, he spent most of his youth farming with the Blach family in Westlock, Alberta and St. Albert, Alberta. As a young man Julius had a tragic accident while working as a surveyor in northern Alberta. Although disabled, his love of agriculture did not die and he resumed farming with his two brothers. He was also a partner in a catering company and real estate delivery service. Later, in 1989, Julius moved his family to Regina, Saskatchewan. Julius was a simple, principled man who was not big on words, but big on heart. He loved to take daily trips to the country to check the crops. He loved to amaze his nieces and nephews by pulling candies from their cheeks. He played a mean game of crib, enjoyed talking politics, watching the Edmonton Oilers and Eskimos and reading novels. He was a man who didnt have any false faces, what you see is what you get?, and we will miss that honesty. Survived and forever remembered by his wife Lynda, son Rhett (Randi), brothers Bill and Carl, sisters Terry, Renita, Henrietta, Helen and Cecile, as well as many close friends. Funeral service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Thursday, January 21st, 2010 at 1:00 pm.
