Obituary of Adele Miehl

It is with heavy hearts the family of Adele Miehl wishes to announce her peaceful passing early Sunday morning wrapped in the Loving Arms of Comfort.? She was predeceased by parents Anne and Joseph, brother Frankie and two brothers in infancy. Adele is survived by her loving sister and caregiver of fifty-five years - Mary Miehl, sister Liz (Betty) Lutz, niece Linda Friesen and grand-niece Susan Friesen. Adele was also blessed with special friends Kay Chrunik, Betty Ahlquist and Helen Grimm, who often visited and offered support. Throughout her life, Adele was faced with several health obstacles that she always met head on with an unwavering tenacity. She was an avid reader until her eyesight failed, and her mind was an encyclopaedia of facts pertaining to the entertainment and political world. She had the most expressive hands " long, tapered fingers, manicured oval-shaped nails, which she took care of with pride " they were the envy of most females. She was quick-witted, loved a good joke, rousing polka music and her home, in which she remained until her passing thanks to the support and care-giving by her sister Mary. As per Adeles wishes a private Memorial Service has taken place with Sister Mel Hruska officiating. The family would like to thank Regina EMS, Regina Fire Department, Dr. Lane Rathgaber and staff at the Regina General Hospital (Emergency), the staff at Speers Funeral Chapel, Sister Mel and Ken Holzer for their care and compassion at this most difficult time. Donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, 2550 Broad Street, Regina, SK S4P 3Z4. God saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered Peace be thine.?
