Obituary of Karla Jean Kay

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the untimely passing of Karla on January 26, 2010 at the age of 46 years. Karla was predeceased by her father, Leonard Kvisle. She is survived by her children Chelsee and Chance Olsen; her mother Verna Kvisle; the father of her children, Dan Olsen; the grandmother of her children, Elizabeth Olsen, brothers Greg Kvisle (Brenda), and Reid Kvisle as well as nieces, nephews and friends. Karla was born in Regina on September 11th, 1963 and grew up on the family farm at Wilcox. She attended Wilcox Elementary School and Athol Murray College of Notre Dame during her high school years. Karla enjoyed life to the fullest and her passion for life was infectious to everyone close to her. Her strength, courage and strong will to overcome her health issues were remarkable. Karla will be fondly remembered for her great sense of humor, wit, and pure selflessness. No matter the circumstances, Karla was always there for family and friends with her big heart, ready to give and help out in whatever way she could. Karlas greatest joy in life, however, were her children, Chelsee and Chance, who she was so proud of and their accomplishments. Karlas celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Italian Club, 2148 Connaught Street, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Karlas memory to the Canadian Liver Foundation, 2320 15th Ave. Regina, SK S4R 1A3 or the Childrens Wish Foundation, 124-100 Dewdney Ave. Regina, SK S4N 0E5.
