Obituary of Michael Arthur Bodnaresk

NOVEMBER 26, 1914 " JANUARY 27, 2010 Mike passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital at the age of 95. He was born in Kayville, SK, but lived in Regina since 1936. He was predeceased by his mother and father, three brothers, one sister, and one son-in-law. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Victoria. They were married for 73 years. They both worked very hard but had a very good life together. He is also survived by his daughter, Jean Phillips, and her children: Shelly Phillips of North Vancouver, and Scott (Tracy) and (great-grandchildren Alexandria, Raina and Mitchell); and his son Elmer (Debbie) and their children: Darin (Pam) and Tammy (Kris) , Elmers children: Michael (Gaylene) of Edmonton, (great-grandchildren Matthew, Nicole, Kristen), Jayda (Paul) Taylor, (great-grandchildren Amanda, Andrew, Michael), and Delee (Will) Sawchyn of Edmonton, (great-grandchildren Kathleen and Victoria); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mike worked at Robert Simpsons for 22 years, and after retirement he worked at Regina Cemetery. In his younger days he loved to dance and liked playing the harmonica, and in his later years enjoyed his trips to the Casino. He was kind, thoughtful and proud of his family, and his family loved him dearly. The family would like to thank the people at the Hope and Charity Care Home, Dr. Elizabeth Cameron, the nurses of 3F at Regina General Hospital, and the nurses of 4B at the Pasqua Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in St. George Orthodox Cathedral, 2005 Edgar Street, Regina SK with Vr. Rev. Daniel Nenson officiating.
