Obituary of Laverne Nicholas Metz

NOVEMBER 15, 1925 " FEBRUARY 2, 2010 Laverne passed away after a brief illness at Regina General Hospital. He was predeceased by his parents Peter and Magdalene; brothers Leland, Milford, and Arnold and twins Kathleen and Raymond who died in infancy. Laverne is survived by his brother Melvin and sisters Louise of Rowatt, SK, and Eileen (Ed Gallagher) of Sylvan, Lake, AB, sister-in-law Dorothy Metz of Regina, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He devoted his life to farming in the Rowatt area. Laverne was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and curling with his many friends over the years. He was a devout Catholic who believed in the resurrection and life everlasting. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 in St. Annes RC Church, 1701 Cowan Crescent, Regina with Rev. Gary Lindenbach presiding.
