Obituary of Marilyn Urjasz

Born April 25th, 1940 in Cheshire, England, Marilyn passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in Fort QuAppelle, SK. She leaves to mourn her husband Joe, of 23 years, three stepsons Darrell (Jackie), Randy, and Kelly, brother Jack Giles, sister-in-law Kathe Giles (Lloyd), nephews Tim Giles, Ryan (Rachel) Giles, niece Raqual (Wayne), special cousin Darrell Deck, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins both in Canada and England. Marilyn is also survived by sisters-in-law Fran and Don (Krause) of Medicine Hat, Val and Greg (Marshall) of Calgary, Ann Urjasz of Regina, Darlene Schacher of Sherwood Park, and brother-in-law Myron Urjasz of Regina. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents Jack Giles (1979) and Mary Giles (1991). She immigrated to Canada in 1976, and worked for the Sask Government for 30 years as Flight Co-ordinator for the Air Transportation, a job she took great pride in. She was a member of the ladies DVA and served as President for many years. She loved to travel and enjoyed her retirement years living in Lipton. Memorial Services for Marilyn are to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK with Pastor Donald Koch officiating, and at 1:30 p.m. on Friday February 12, 2010 in Living Christ Lutheran Church, Lipton, SK. Interment at a later date. Donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, 297-3rd Avenue N, Saskatoon, SK, S7K 2H8.
